Mosaic Unveiling: Battle of Lone Pine Centenary

Astrid has just unveiled her newest mosaic, created by her and her students at Mt Maria College Petrie, to commemmorate the 100th Anniversary of the Battle of Lone Pine, fought in Gallipoli in 1915. The brightly coloured mosaic was on display to a large crowd, which included Light Horsemen, bagpipe players, and the Immigration Minister Peter Dutton MP.     Absolutely wonderful work Astrid, congratulations to you and your pupils. Your mosaic causes us to remember the selflessness of those involved in the Gallipoli campaign and to stir up anew "The Spirit of Anzac" in every generation. Thank you.
